Our new digital quoting platform took home the gold in the software category of the 2021 LEAP (Leadership in Engineering Achievement Program) Awards this week. The annual award show is held by WTWH Media, which includes Design World, Fluid Power World, Fastener Engineering, and EE World.
About our new digital quoting platform, the group of 12 judges praised its design-for-manufacturability analysis: “Engineers have access to a 3D view of their CAD model that highlights any manufacturing issues that need to be adjusted.”
Released in February, the revamped digital quoting platform was designed to feature a faster, more intuitive use interface, uniting all three of our services—injection molding, 3D printing and CNC machining—in a single platform. The design-for-manufacturability analysis recognized by judges was updated to provide feedback clearly and concisely with a 3D viewer. And a suite of collaboration tools was introduced to share quotes and make adjustments as a team. Users also enjoy increased transparency with a Price Curve tool to compare prototyping vs. on-demand services and shipping costs.
Synopsis’ RTL Architect finished with silver in the software category, followed by GE Digital’s iFix 6.5 with bronze. In addition to the LEAP Award, the digital quoting platform was also named a finalist for Machine Design’s IDEA Award in August.
