PEI and Ultem Injection Molding

High-performance thermoplastics that offer high heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength.

Product Description

PEI is a high-performance thermoplastic that offers high heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength. A popular material for harsh environments, PEI is also referred to as its brand name, Ultem.

We offer four types of PEI via our injection molding service:

  • RPT 2100 LF: 10% glass fiber-filled, low flow polyetherimide. Has good tensile and flexural strength, and high impact resistance. Good dimensional stability, with high chemical resistance and excellent flame retardant.
  • Ultem 2200: 20% glass fiber-filled, standard flow polyetherimide. ECO Conforming, UL94 V0 and 5VA listing. NSF 51 listing, WRAS certification in recognized colors.
  • Ultem 1000: amorphous, transparent plastic. This inherently flame-retardant resin has UL94 V0, V2, and 5VA ratings and is RoHS compliant. ULTEM 1000 resin is an unreinforced general-purpose grade offering high heat resistance, high strength, and modulus and broad chemical resistance up to high temperatures.
  • Ultem 2300: 30% glass fiber-filled, standard flow polyetherimide. ECO Conforming, UL94 V0 and 5VA. NSF 51 listing, WRAS certification, KTW certification in recognized colors.
